I picked up one pound of scrap soap from Chagrin Valley Soaps.  I'd been using Henna Sooq's Black Velvet Body bar and I ended up sneaking out and buying my Dove soap because it doesn't lather like I'm used to.

This is the Butter Bar Conditioner.  Now, I don't generally use conditioner anymore.  I just grabbed this because the deal was a great one and I have no self control.

So, the shampoo bar is pictured above.  I just used a stock picture from their site because I hacked my bar to pieces as soon as I received it.  I used one-quarter of the bar and I just finished it up after 3-4 washes.  I can't remember the exact number.

Chagrin Valley Soap and Salve

So, Chagrin Valley Soap has a great deal that rotates every Friday.  They sell one pound of the scraps from different soaps for $7.50.  Every time I try something new, I get it with a discount.  I had been paying $7 for a 4.25oz bar that would get me four washes.  Chagrin Valley's soaps and shampoos are 5.8-7oz for $7-7.50.  I was already intrigued to get more ounces of soap per dollar.

So, two weeks ago, I ordered a pound of body soap scraps, a pound of conditioner bar scaps, and one 7oz regular priced bar of shampoo.  I was excited that priority shipping was under $8.  Usually when I order, I easily add $10 just for shipping.  If you are ordering regular priced items, you can ship them in a flat rate envelope ($5.75) if your order is under $57.  I love how reasonable those prices are.  They have dozens of soaps to choose from and I was very pleased when my ordered was shipped the same day and arrived two days later.  They ship from Ohio.  I live in Florida.

I have ordered more soaps and shampoo to try as well as their deodorant.  But I am happy to recommend them.

So yes, I think I'm going to go ahead and do a twists challenge.  My goal is to just tuck my hair away and let it grow.  I noticed this weekend that my nape twists shrink to collarbone length.  All of my other hair is shoulder length when it shrinks or higher (for the pieces that I cut).  At some point I will even my hair out again, but not until it is longer.

Thinking of doing a twists challenge.

I cut my hair from armpit length to collarbone length (stretched) a few weeks ago. I really miss the length and I'm thinking about doing a twists challenge to keep me focused on getting back there. I've never done a challenge before so...

We'll see how it goes. I will set guidelines for myself this weekend when I twist again.

Blown-out twists.

This past week, I blowdried my hair before I twisted it.  I was inspired by @fyecurls on instagram.  After washing with a Hennasooq Cocoveda shampoo bar, I blow dried.  My arms and neck were SO TIRED!  I put my East African Shea Butter on before I dried my hair and I just kept the heat and speed on medium.
