Drawstring on my beanie so I can close it completely or leave the top open a little and let some hair out! |
I decided to take up crocheting again. I've crocheted since third grade but stopped in '07 or so. I googled some patterns and tried to make one of those "rasta" hats, but it turned out way too small for all of my hair. Eventually, I came across this convertible beanie!

I love it because It accommodates all of my hair and it is obviously versatile I plan on making it in a few other colors to get me through the winter (in Florida). I have linked the pattern below, but do note: I had to make it a heck of a lot wider to fit all of this hair. It called for 75 chains to start and I ended up needing 100. Don't laugh at my big head!
It is an easy pattern great for beginners. Just start off with the chains and make sure they can wrap around your head before you begin the rows. Enjoy!
Do you crochet or knit?
I like the colors you used :)
