I can't commit!

After the twist challenge ended, I didn't know what I wanted to do.  My original plan was to wash n go since I had missed it.  I also picked up some flax seed to make hair gel.

from my local grocery store.
9.4oz for $1.69

boiled them.  one part seeds to eight parts water.
then, they got all snotty.

strained them with pantyhose into a cup.
added fragrance

And my results:

I only tried the gel in the front.  The curls
do show better than in the back.

That was the weekend.  I was so afraid to leave my hair out all week and get it all tangled so I decided to do three-strand twists.  I was trying out Anita Grant's Monoi de Tahiti butter.  I thought that it would be similar to my east African shea butter, but it was just greasy and sat on top of my hair.

Even after that, a friend offered to trim my hair.  I've been needing a trim so I jumped at the chance.  she blew it out into a fro and trimmed it.

I am still washing with Terressentials.  I will continue to do that until I run out.

  1. I have a question a little unrelated(forgive me), When you make your Rhassoul Clay shampoo do you keep it in the refrigerator to keep it from spoiling. Better question; has it ever spoiled?

    1. I mix mine with distilled water. I just leave it in the shower and I've never left it for more than 2 weeks. Once, I got in the shower and my mud was too thick. I added some water from the shower head and shook it up. The next week, that mud smelled SO BAD!

For the most part, it is easier for me to make just enough for one to two washes. Use distilled water to mix. And feel free to ask all of the questions that you want!
